Cutting machine operator (m/f/d)

If you are interested in machine technology, have achieved good results in your work lessons and like to work very precisely, then this apprenticeship is just right for you.

Because precision is the top priority for cutting machine operators (m/f/d).

Duration of training

 3 to 3.5 years

What you should bring with you

  • Qualified secondary school certificate or secondary school leaving certificate
  • Interest in technical contexts
  • Careful way of working
  • Spatial imagination
  • Good basic math skills
  • Ability to work in a team

What a cutting machine operator (m/f/d) does

  • Manufacture precision components: They manufacture precision components using processes such as turning, drilling, milling or grinding. They usually use CNC machine tools, i.e. computer-controlled machines. This means that even complex parts can be manufactured very precisely and automatically.
  • Calculate: As a cutting machine operator, you need a good knowledge of math and geometry. You need to be able to calculate lengths, areas and volumes.
  • Assembling: Individual components are assembled into complete assemblies by cutting machine operators (m/f/d).
Checking quality: Machining mechanics (m/f/d) have to carry out regular quality checks and monitor the production process.
